Erik ten Hag remains focused on Manchester United amid Bayern Munich links

United boss insists he has no regrets over Champions League exit

Ten Hag inherited a B team from former boss

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has insisted he is 100% focused on the club despite speculation he is on Bayern Munich's list of potential successors to Thomas Tuchel.

United were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage on Tuesday night after a 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig.

However, Ten Hag insists he has no regrets over the campaign and that his side were "very good".

"I think we had a good campaign in the Champions League," he said. "We were very good in the group stage, we won five games and we lost one."

"Of course, we are disappointed to go out at this stage, but we can be proud of what we have achieved.

"We have learned a lot from this experience and we will use it to improve in the future."

Ten Hag also praised his players for their efforts against Leipzig.

"I thought the players gave everything they had," he said. "We created some good chances, but we couldn't take them."

"Leipzig are a good team and they made it difficult for us, but I am proud of the way my players performed."

Ten Hag has been linked with the Bayern Munich job since Tuchel was sacked last week.

However, the Dutchman has insisted he is fully committed to United.

"I am 100% focused on Manchester United," he said. "I have a job to do here and I am determined to succeed."

"I am not interested in speculation about other clubs."
